How I like to work
I enjoy working on products which challenge the status quo. Using the learning of the past and applying some things differently using simple solutions. I prefer to do this in small teams with personal communication.
Flexibility is important to me. That's why I am a freelancer. 9-5 kind of works for me, but sometimes it is more practical to work outside those moments and often my energy level peaks around 6PM...
I work from home or from my own office at the University of Eindhoven. I enjoy traveling to different locations. That means that I am open for hybrid and full-remote assignments.
In the past I was pretty enthusiast about Scrum. It was great at the time... Nowadays I tend to be more a fan of different approaches like Shape Up.

Sendcloud: Shipping Software for Ecommerce Businesses
For Sendcloud I have provided hands-on software development and product management services.
My earlier experience with working for the company (as CTO, Head of Product) helped with providing context for (new) employees during times where Sendcloud was hiring at a high pace.
Also I was able to make direct impact regarding the overall performance of the platform. I also Improved label printing quality and optimized the shipment tracking performance.
JouwWeb: Create your own website
I have helped JouwWeb to move from their own infrastructure to Google Cloud. It was really nice to see that with a small effort the team was able to implement the plan that I suggested.
Nowadays JouwWeb is serving more than 200.000 clients based on this infrastructure.
Actuals: The transactional reconciliation platform
I temporarily supported the Actuals team as a Interim Technical Consultant. I was responsible for configuring the integrations with the clients.
Also I have helped with setting up data synchronization integrations.
I really enjoyed the insights that were possible when a data source was correctly integrated. This provided useful insights for the clients, which really put them in control of their finances.
NXP Semiconductors: Automotive, IoT & Industrial Solutions
As a leading semiconductor NXP needs to have the best developer and automation tooling available. I helped deploying those vendor products (GitLab, Jira, Ansible Tower) across their landscape using leading DevOps practices.
Also I contributed to automation processes and internal applications.
